An Roman adventurer called Petro della Valle, was a real cat lover. He found two couples of cats in Perce of Buffon and immediately spoke in praise about them. He made natural history of it. Without drum of trumpet, the oriental ancestor made a discrete appearance in Europe in 1626. Angora cats became very quickly popular and as common in Italy as in the other countries of Europe.

At the beginning of 19th century the English didn't take too long before noticing this remarkable variety of feline with long and silky fur, eyes of enamel, body squat and full of promises. The heads are more rounder and noses are shorter. The "angora", masterpiece of Persian is now known around the world.
